A long, peaceful beach on the Golfo Dulce, perfect for swimming, fishing and sunsets.

Playa Zancudo stretches for several kilometers of dark sand on a narrow strip of land between the Golfo Dulce and a large mangrove estuary. Palm trees, calm water and almost empty beaches make it one of the most relaxing places in the region.
The northern part of the beach is usually calm and good for swimming, while the southern end receives small beach-break waves that are great for beginner surfers and bodyboarders.
Zancudo is well known for sport fishing: roosterfish and snapper close to shore, and larger species offshore, with local captains who know the gulf perfectly.
Behind the beach, the mangroves of the Río Coto Colorado estuary can be explored by kayak or boat, with herons, kingfishers, crabs and sometimes crocodiles.

Stay nearby at Casa Nosy Tsara, a home with a pool and views of the Golfo Dulce, just minutes from Zancudo and Langostino beaches.
